The quote by Mitch Albom almost makes my heart hurt when I consider the pain & despair that some of my kids went through. Even as we made valiant attempts to hold them up over our own swiring waters. It was hard to watch them make bad/harsh choices and, as their parents, knew what their consequences would be. And we could only stand by and watch until they came to us, with broken hearts in hand. For some that took a much longer time. For one of the others – we’re still waiting, holding on to our own chipped (not yet broken) hearts. Thanks for sharing.
